Inspired by the sights, sounds, and slow-cruising subculture of golf cart life, the track captures Bronson’s signature blend of wit, warmth, and storytelling with a wink and a grin.


Equal parts nostalgic and humorous, “Golf Cart” is a tribute to the community spirit and easy-riding freedom of RV park living. “It was just my twisted sense of humor getting the best of me,” says Bronson on writing the tune. “Like if owning a six-figure fifth wheel RV-camper for a weekender isn’t enough to impress your friends, cruising around in your tricked out golf cart bumpin’ some Toby Keith would probably do the trick!”

Backed once again by his band, The Tackle Box, Bronson rolls through “Golf Cart” true to form. The song combines observational storytelling with a touch of mischief; the kind of playful commentary that’s made Bronson a standout voice in today’s traditional country landscape.


Following his 2024 award-winning sophomore album Bad Apple (International Singer-Songwriters Association Award), Bronson continues to explore the lighter side of life’s moments — from kitchen tables to campground driveways — always finding heart and humor in the everyday. “My songs usually start with something small and honest,” Bronson says. “A funny line, a memory, or something you’d overhear at a diner or RV park. That’s where the gold is.”

About Tay Bronson:
He picked up a guitar in seventh grade and hasn’t put it down yet. “It’s kind of like my therapy in a way,” says Bronson. Since 1991, Bronson has been active in pursuing his musical aspirations. With Push Down & Turn — the alternative rock group that achieved national and international acclaim with Bronson as bassist and primary songwriter — Bronson got to live his dreams until the band decided to take their hiatus in 2003. At that time, the lifelong Indiana-based musician turned his time and focus to raising his daughter and continuing to
build upon his life experiences which all started to pour out into his debut 12-song album, Drinks & Memories, released August 21, 2020.


“I was always a big fan of the ‘90s alternative rock scene but a few years ago I began really digging back into some of my early influences like Waylon Jennings, John Prine and Hank Williams Jr.,” notes Bronson. The authenticity of what those artists sang about can be found throughout the grooves of Drinks & Memories and Bad Apple.

During Bronson’s tenure with Push Down & Turn, his songs appeared on all four of the band’s albums and Demo EP in addition to compilation albums the band was featured on including major brands like Abercrombie and Fitch, Lidz and Cool Cigarettes. Their music was also featured on every major daytime soap opera, sans General Hospital, in the U.S. and abroad. Additional band highlights include a five-show stint on 1997’s HORDE tour and opening for the Counting Crows, extended tour dates with the BoDeans, Freddy Jones Band and many others. They also shared the stage the following year with Oleander, Everclear and Kid Rock at
X-fest 1999.

Wichita-based singer-songwriter Emily Judson has released a heartfelt new single, “It’s My Farm,” inspired by her father’s life and the Kansas family farm that shaped their family’s story. Co-written with fellow artist Andrew Chappell, the song weaves her dad’s own words into a touching tribute to heritage, hard work, and home. Although Judson’s roots are in folk music, the track naturally found a classic country sound, complete with pedal steel from family friend Devon Teran.

Since its release earlier this year, “It’s My Farm” has earned wide praise, winning Collaboration of the Year at the Elite Music Awards and Best Music Collaboration from the World Songwriting Awards.
